Japanese school system goes 6-3-3-4, elementary school-junior school-high school and college respectively. We start out at 7 years old. There are preschool kinder gardens are available starting 3 years old.

We graduate on March 31st every year. Thereby you enter on April 1st. This schedule is set following financial year of government.

Being 66 years old, I have several friend died early. But I am healthy enough to meet someone connecting either elementary school or high school friends. I am living in Yokohama since my birth.

It is nice meeting old friends. We can talk just anything and everything. One of them is running coffee shop in my home town. His mother was teacher for us and he lost his father during war. So his family consists of two ladies, mother and elder sister, and himself.

He had been talking lady language. Yes, Japanese language has two faces. One for men other for women. So, there’s real girl talk exist. No, nouns are same. Verbs finish differently with girly tail attached.

So, his way of talking was funny to me. But then there wasn’t anybody who dare point that out then, nobody cared about that. We were too busy running around our ground playing hide & seek, police & robber and other things.

There were lots of edible plants and vegetables and fruits in the field. Yeah. . . . that was nice. And we can’t see it again, right, never . . . . (Oh, I got tear coming out, my godness . .. . )
