As Mr. Koduki paid 10 milliion yen (that is approx. US$100 thousand), Sasaki gave him a receipt for JPY500 thousand (that is approx. US$5,000). On the receipt Sasaki put that Mr. Koduki had paid for 5% stock share of a corporation that Sasaki own.
“Sasaki must have tasted honey. He started to offer me various project. Y’know, I’m well known in gift industry and Sasaki had admitted that. Sasaki said that he had met me before when both Sasaki and Kanai paid visit to my factory in Yokohama. They came to me to buy some of the products to sell to Taiwan.
“Well, this is not excuse though, I hadn’t realized that Sasaki had been behind Kanai.”
I felt him retreat into himself and saw his eyes narrowed like looking into his memory trying to find something. He recalled that the name of Kanai had brought up at some of the sales meetings.
The company where Mr Koduki presided were making 80% of gross sales domestic. It is no wonder if he has not remembered a set of these crooks for a small amount of export business to Taiwan.
