Mr. Kouduki made a phone call to Sasaki as soon as he was unable to set a meeting with Mr. Mesi of Shimizu. That was his only contact learned from passed- Kanai. If you look at the whole thing from where Sasaki stands, it has been Mr. Kouduki who has tried to steal the business. But Mr. Kouduki did not aware the point. It could have been because of his wealthy background. Right, you can get away whenever things get gong wrong, because you have the money.

Mr. Kouduki said that he did not realize the thought at all. He did nothing but to blame himself for believing what Kanai had said. Further he did not want to miss seemingly the last chance to establish the kind of viable business that Mr. Karasawa and himself were to realize. That was why he was so hasty and anxious about setting up some way to have part of the business of Sasaki. Mr. Kouduki was a few years to his sixtieth birthday.

I believe that this should have been the mental picture of Mr. Kouduki and that this should have been why he lost all of his property a few years later.

Now get back to the scene where Mr Kouduki was to invest in Sasaki’s company.
“As I recall it now, I feel rage to what Sasaki said at that time. Sasaki had put it this way; I am the man of the one out of 200,000. Well he was quite good at reading mind. I went business meetings along with him several times. He does not talk much but rather listening to what the other party is saying and read what is behind the talk.

Tell you the truth, I was no enemy of his. If I say a few word, he was able to sense what I really was saying and what I was expecting out of the talk. He was able to read your mind.”
